Originally from Mumbai, India, I have lived in Roswell, Ga for the last 21years. As a self-taught Artist with an academic background in Architecture, I tend to incorporate a sense of perspective and depth in my art compositions.

Nature inspires my art. I often stumble into beauty during the most mundane moments of life. It could be a single beam of sunlight filtering through a tree or the ever-changing cloud formations in the sky: every ordinary moment holds a new surprise if we truly learn to see. Sometimes nature manifests in the form of vibrant fall colors while other times it expresses through the simplicity of a bare winter tree.

 

I love feeling the energy of the gushing ocean waves creating beautiful foam sprays as they crash on the shore. The brilliant colors of a sunset burst inspire me to lock the memory of that moment on my canvas.

I have been fortunate to travel to six continents and my compositions try to capture the essence of a time and place. While working in mixed media, I primarily work with oils and acrylics. I often find myself lost in a painting as I blend the soft hues of the evening sky using oil Paint while creating interesting bark textures on trees using acrylic paint with a palette knife.

 

The process of creating art is the most joyful part of my experience and I hope to share this joy on my ongoing journey.
